We are pleased to announce that the Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society (AMES) for the Central, South & West (CSW) region and the Pathways to Development Conference will take place at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore, Pakistan.
Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society (AMES)/Path2Dev | Jan 14-17 | at LUMS
Pathways to Development is a multidisciplinary conference that brings together empirical and historical research by economists, political scientists, sociologists, legal and constitutional scholars, and law and policy reform experts, within and outside Pakistan, to document and describe the scale of challenges facing Pakistan and to organize discourse about ways in which these can be mitigated.
The conference is jointly organised by the following consortium partners: CERP, Institute of Development & Economic Alternatives (IDEAS), Chaudhry Nazar Muhammad Department of Economics and Mahbub ul Haq Research Centre (MHRC) at LUMS, Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) and International Growth Centre (IGC).
As part of this collaboration, the Pathways to Development Conference will host the CSW-AMES meeting during the first three days (January 14–16), followed by a dedicated Policy Dialogue on January 17, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss evidence-based approaches to Pakistan’s development priorities.
